MCTC’s Alpha Epsilon Sigma Chapter Recognized as 5 Star Level by Phi Theta Kappa

The Alpha Epsilon Sigma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at MCTC received special commendation during the Minn-Wi-Kota Regional Convention for fulfilling all requirements to be named a “5 Star Level Chapter.” The chapter was also recognized at Phi Theta Kappa’s recent annual convention.

The 5 Star Chapter development plan serves as a blueprint for developing a strong chapter, improves student engagement on campus and recognizes progress in the attainment of goals set by the chapter. Using the 5 Star Plan as a guide, chapters enhance their strategies to recognize eligible students, provide significant personal and professional development opportunities for members through Honors in Action, and build a working relationship with the college by becoming active on campus and in the community. As chapters reach these milestones, they progress through each level of the 5 Star Plan, ultimately reaching the 5 Star Level.
