Minneapolis Community and Technical College student Carlos Rodrigo Vazquez received the Fall 2012 Minnesota State College Student Association (MSCSA) Leadership Scholarship. Seven students attending Minnesota State Colleges and Universities throughout the state were awarded the merit-based scholarship as recognition of their exemplary community and campus leadership in addition to maintaining a superb GPA throughout their academic career. Each recipient will receive $650 toward his or her tuition for the fall 2012 semester.
“The MSCSA scholarship means a lot to me because it is helping me get closer to my educational goal,” Vazquez said. “I am very thankful to the donors who make this scholarship available/possible, and I know that eventually I will be one of them. I would love to give and support my community because my community gave and supported me when I needed it.”
The six additional student recipients are: Gordon Craft-Inver Hills Community College, Gabriel Hall- Southeast Technical College-Winona, Brian Liebeg- Inver Hills Community College, Jamie Medas- Anoka Ramsey Community College-Coon Rapids, Shahalo Seidmedova-Saint Cloud State University and Danielle Swanson-Southeast Technical College-Red Wing.
