On March 18, Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison visited Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) to encourage eligible students to enroll in MNsure, the Minnesota health insurance exchange. The deadline for eligible residents to enroll in the exchange is March 31.
Rep. Ellison was joined by MNsure navigators who answered questions and assisted MCTC students in enrolling in the exchange. MCTC has a large number of students who are currently un- or under-insured and may benefit from the state exchange. All enrolled MCTC students have the option to receive basic health care services at the campus Boynton health clinic, an initiative funded by student fees.
Rep. Ellison remained at MCTC for close to two hours to speak with students. His visit was covered by several local news outlets, including Insight News. Read their full story here. For a photo gallery from the Congressman’s visit, click here.Tags: Keith Ellison, MNsure
