daniel-200MCTC Security Supervisor Daniel Alberts has received the Chancellor’s Award for Facilities Excellence by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system. The award is given to those who excel in facilities management and leadership on their campuses.

Alberts was one of two employees to receive the award in the Facilities category out of the 1,200 who were eligible.

“The professionals honored through this award work tirelessly behind the scenes to make our campuses inviting, safe, and efficiently run,” MnSCU Chancellor Steven Rosenstone said. “They make each campus a place where faculty and staff can help students realize their dreams. We are grateful for all they do, day in and day out.”

Award criteria focus on innovation, collaboration and work that goes beyond routine duties. Alberts has worked with the system office to review each MnSCU campus’ annual security report as well as helping with other initiatives within the system.

“Daniel has exceptional talent in so many areas,” said Public Safety Director Curt Schmidt. “His receipt of this award only affirms his excellent work. Through this project, Daniel has cleared the path for others to achieve success.”
