Job Fair and Grad Fair- Tuesday, March 25th!

Below is the list of Business industry employers that are attending the Graduate Job Fair on Tuesday, March 25th from 10-1pm. All  business students are encouraged to attend the job fair even if you are not looking for a job.

The Graduate Job Fair will benefit you in the following ways:

• An opportunity to network with employers for future opportunities
• To gather company and industry information in the Business industry
• To dress professionally, attend a job fair, and interact with employers successfully
• An opportunity for students to practice their elevator speeches with employers
• Best way to learn of any internship opportunities in the Business industry

Again, the Graduate Job Fair will be held on Tuesday, March 25th from 10-1pm on the first floor of the Helland Center. Students MUST register and a select a job fair preparation workshop to be prepared to interact with employers professionally. Graduation Fair and Job Fair- Tuesday, March 25th

Message from Julie Poyzer, Career Services at MCTC:

The registration page is now live and students can register for the job fair and commencement ceremony. Please, encourage your students to attend the job fair on March 25th as we have quite a few of Business employers attending that day. Some of the employers have accounting opportunities in their business and I hope to get one employer that is just recruiting for accounting. Students are required to select a job fair preparation session to attend the job fair on March 25th. Students have the option of selecting in “Online Prep Workshop” unless they prefer attending a live session. The job fair preparation sessions will help students be prepared to interact and present materials and skills to employers.

DECA- MCTC’s Professional Business Club!

Message from Elliot Schimming, DECA: 

MCTC’s Collegiate DECA Team dominated   State Competition on February 26, 2014.  Collegiate DECA is a student driven organization that values competence, innovation, integrity, and teamwork. We prepare students for careers by integrating skills learned in the classroom into real world experiences. Collegiate DECA’s programs and competitive events are clustered around six academic areas; Hospitality and Tourism, Finance and Accounting, Marketing and Sales, Arts, Communication and Technology, and Business Management and Administration. We are proud to announce that Immanuel Jones took First place in Project Management, Elliot Schimming took Second place in Entrepreneurship and as a team Monique Stewart and Elliot Schimming took home First place in Business Ethics. We are proud of our team and will be traveling to     Washington DC on April 22nd – 27th 2014 to represent MCTC at the International Career Development Completion.

Make sure to stop by to visit with schools such as Metro State, Concordia, Hamline, Augsburg, University of North Dakota, and MANY MORE!
