I received this email from a coworker… please read and apply for the scholarship if you qualify and/or are interested!

If you work with students of color majoring in accounting, please encourage them to apply for 2013 Accounting Scholars Development Program. The Accounting Scholars Development Program is a five-day, four night residency program for rising sophomore community college students in the African American, Hispanic and Native American Communities who are interested in accounting. The program increases awareness of careers in accounting, improves student’s personal financial literacy, and guides students through the process of transferring to institutions that offer degree programs that meet the educational requirements for CPA licensing.

Student expenses including transportation, dorm accommodations and meals will be paid for by the University of Denver School of Accountancy and other program sponsors. Travel assistance to and from the University of Denver, including transportation to and from Denver International Airport, is available.

For more information, please visit the program’s website: https://community.thiswaytocpa.com/allgroups/college-and-grad-school/s/accounting_scholars_development_program_2012/default.aspx
