Jennifer has been teaching for eight years – the last three at MCTC.  She also teaches at Metropolitan State University in the College of Management.  Prior to teaching, she worked in Marketing and Management in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors and has almost twenty years of professional experience.  Jennifer has also co-owned two businesses with her husband and has plans to begin working on a non-profit organization in the near future.

In 2007, Jennifer completed her Master of Business Administration at Metropolitan State University and has subsequently finished a Master of Public and Nonprofit Administration just last April.  She begins the Master of Liberal Studies degree this fall and plans to begin her Doctorate in Business Administration in 2014.  Jennifer is committed to continuous learning and strives to instill this same love of education in her students.  She is also an avid reader and dedicated follower of local food, music, and open spaces.

Jennifer has been an active member of the MCTC community through committee positions, Center for Teaching & Learning workshops and teaching circles, and student clubs such as DECA.  At present, she is the co-adviser for the DECA club and a member of the State Board of Directors for the Organization.  Jennifer is also a successful D2L educator and strives to learn new tools to enhance the online classroom learning experience.  She is always seeking active learning strategies and best practices and invites all students and co-workers to help expand her knowledge of teaching and learning.

Her personal interests include music, reading, biking, hiking, and enjoying local parks, lakes, and outdoor spaces.  She can be found most weekends at a new restaurant or local music venue or biking on one of the many city trails!  She lives in Saint Paul and tries to commute by bike to work most days of the week.  Jennifer is married and has two children (they are 12 and 13), as well as a dog, cat, rabbit, and zebra finch inhabiting her home.

Feel free to stop by her office, M1260, anytime!
